Suzan and Lisa then provide us with the actual paint and fabric samples to match colors in post production, realizing that the camera doesn’t always register the correct color. We work well together, discussing many different options and making sure her design is captured correctly on the final image. This can take 40 to 50 photos and frequently takes over an hour to get the right shot. With the current photo technology, we are able to see, during the photo shoot, the actual photo on an ipad and make any modifications to the accessories and angles, and only when she is happy with the final image do we take the final photograph. Prior to a photo session we decide on lighting and the best angle to photograph each room, while Suzan and Lisa work on the minute details such as the best accessories for each shot. Through the years we have watched Suzan’s designs grow into a truly well laid out design for her clients. Over the past 10 years we have been doing the photography for Suzan J Designs. She is willing to make anything happen to give her clients the design they are looking for. All of this would be pretty impressive, but Home Designer goes beyond your home, and extends to the surrounding terrain. I look forward to finishing my family room and continue to working with Suzan in the future. She does not get flustered and I believe anything is attainable by her and her team. I know she is extremely talented in design. As soon as the furniture arrives she will make it happen. Suzan has gone out of her way to travel to my home which is at least an hour away.
After seeing her quality of work I asked her to design my family room with better functionality, and decor that fits my style, and the custom window treatments she designed are amazing. Everyone who comes over is amazed at the transformation.
Suzan gave me several floor plans as options, yet the first one she suggested was the one I went with. All of my new furniture is not only timeless, but is also comfortable and functional. She kept the color I liked and brought in a new color that I had never used before. The color palette she combined is just stunning. The amount of seating I now have is amazing. Upon our first meeting she already had an idea of what I was trying to accomplish – to create more seating in a small living/dining room combined. I recall our first phone conversation in which she gave me her undivided attention, and I believe she understood a lot about me and the project without even seeing my home yet. I tried to find ways to incorporate all the basic skills through various design choices in the project. I’m not perfect, I make mistakes and work through fixing them. I just talk you through it, as if we were together or doing a screen share as I work through the design and documentation. All of the lessons here will work with newer versions.Įven though I had this project pre-planned, I build it live from start to finish to show you the process. I will be pointing out the differences in the programs, and suggesting work arounds where there’s limited functions in Interiors and HD Pro. This course is produced using Premier X12, but will also have Interiors and HD pro open and working.

After we build the 3d model, I’ll show you how to create a presentation/construction document and various ways to create renderings. Through the process of building the house, you’ll learn about drafting in 2d and 3d and how to create 3d models and construction plans, including details like custom millwork and vaulted ceilings. We will build a small house, including the kitchen the bathroom. I will show you the general overview of the tools, and help you get organized to start your projects. This course is meant for those of you just starting out with Chief Architect Premier, Interiors or Home Designer Pro. I based this course on my own workflow, and how I work with Chief Architect every day in my business to design homes, create 3d models for rendering, and create Construction Documents.
